A chiropractic clinic in Pocklington will be doing more than just fixing bad backs on Saturday 6 July.
Chiropractic Plus, on Regent Street, will host an open day to support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People between 10am and 2pm.
In return for a donation to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, visitors can take the waist, weight and height challenge, find out what their Body Mass Index (BMI) is and if their waist size is a health risk for diabetes.
They can also let the clinic’s chiropractors snapshot their posture on alignment charts, find out how well they score on a Pilates posture check or choose a free taster session. On offer is Tui Na massage, remedial or Indian Head massage, reflexology or acupressure.
Lucy Ward, Community Fundraising Manager for Hearing Dogs, which has a training centre in Bielby, said: “It is fantastic that Chiropractic Plus have chosen to support Hearing Dogs through their Charity Open Day.
“Please come along to show us your support and meet some of our dogs as well as finding out more about the wide variety of services they have on offer.”
Also on the day, there will be a free group relaxation session, free health talk on psychological rehabilitation after a cardiac event and a free health talk on eating disorders.
Group sessions and talks need to be booked by calling 01759 303289. Otherwise just turn up on the day for all the other activities.
Everyone who turns up gets a 10% voucher off.
