Operation tackles organised crime

Humberside Police have hailed Operation Impact, which aimed to tackle drug dealing and organised crime across the region, a success.

Operation Impact, launched on 1 February, resulted in 48 warrants and arrest related searches over the two-week period. From these 51 people were arrested, a large quantity of drugs were removed from the streets, money and property linked to criminality were seized and officers recovered a number of weapons. Detective Chief Inspector Paul Kirby said: “Operation impact has undoubtedly disrupted those involved in organised crime and associated drug dealing.”
