A chiropractors in Pocklington is holding an open day to support the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Chiropractic Plus, on Regent Street, is holding the open day on 6 September and the event is an opportunity for visitors to sample a variety of the services offered by the clinic in return for a donation to Hearing Dogs.
Visitors to the clinic can learn more about chiropractic treatment, let chiropractors snapshot their posture on alignment charts, have a PC and desk set-up check, get a car posture assessment, take the waist, weight and height challenge, meet a hearing dog and more.
As well as holding open days, Chiropractic Plus supports Hearing Dogs all year round.
Chiropractor Carol Latto said: “We chose to support this charity as it carries out such amazing work to improve the lives of deaf people in the community.”
Hearing Dogs trains dogs to alert deaf people to important household sounds and danger signals. These include alarm clocks, doorbells, smoke alarms and fire bells in the home, the work place and also in public buildings.
