The oldest film of Pocklington in existence has been discovered by the town’s history group.

Andrew Sefton, archivist for Pocklington and District Local History Group, spotted the film on an internet auction site and bid for it on behalf of the group.

It shows the first Annual Memorial Parade in Pocklington on 20 November 1932, held by the Pocklington Squadron of Frontiersmen.
