MARATHON man Alan Kendra is gearing up to pound the pavements of London for the eight time.
Keen runner Alan, of Percy Road Pocklington, is raising money for the Moorfields Eye hospital in London in recognition of specialist treatment he received there for a detached retina.
He said he is looking forward to taking part in the London Marathon again; “I have been running for 25-years and am the chairman of Pocklington Runners so it’s something I really enjoy doing,” he said.
“I don’t have a target for the amount I want to raise, but I’m hoping I can make around £400 for the hospital.”
The marathon takes place in the capital on April 22 and anyone who would like to sponsor Alan can donate online at www.btplc.com/mydonate.
