A man from Stamford Bridge has appeared in court over allegations that he made and possessed indecent photographs of children.
Matthew Bell, 27, of Foresters Walk, is also accused of assaulting a child by touching which was sexual.
Appearing at East Riding Magistrates’ Court, Bell pleaded not guilty to a total of five charges.
One of the charges is for making a total of 13 indecent photographs of a child which were recovered from a computer tower. Another is for making four indecent photographs of a child, also found on a computer tower.
Bell’s case was transferred to Hull Crown Court where he will appear before a judge on March 2.
Granting him conditional bail, District Judge Frederick Rutherford told Bell that he must attend crown court or an offence could be committed and a warrant could be issued for his arrest.
One of the offences of possessing indecent photographs was allegedly committed between January 1, 2011 and January 27, 2014 when it’s said that Bell had 18 still images which were recovered from an external hard drive.
The other was allegedly committed between December 8, 2013 and January 1, 2014 when it’s said Bell had three images in his possession.
