A lorry carrying meat went up in flames on Sunday, causing disruption on the A614 near Shiptonthorpe.

Humberside Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at 3.12pm on Sunday 27 October.

The lorry was destroyed but the driver escaped unhurt.

The blaze was put out by firefighters using two main jet hoses, breathing apparatus, a thermal image camera and environmental grab packs.

At the time of press it was not known what caused the fire.
