Parking in Pocklington remains a hot topic within the town, with questions still being asked about what can be done to improve the situation.

A few years ago Pocklington Town Council mounted a vigorous and ultimately successful campaign against the East Riding proposal to introduce charges.

A parking survey was commissioned at a cost of around £2,000 to support the contention that free parking was vital for local people and the local economy.
