The path along the top of Chapel Hill is the opening stretch for two marked walks, the Chalkland Way and the Pilgrimage of Grace Trail, and is a link route from Pocklington up to the Yorkshire Wolds Way, the long distance national trail that transverses East Yorkshire.

It is also well used by locals who walk to the KP Club and World Peace cafe at Kilnwick Percy.
