Pocklington’s Market Place was turned into a place of celebration of the bike as part of the Yorkshire Festival.

Organised by Pocklington Arts Centre, the event last Sunday tapped into the enthusiasm for Le Grand Depart which rolls into Yorkshire as part of the Tour De France this coming weekend.

Supported by the Pocklington Post, which had a promotional unit in the Market Place, the event attracted more than 400 people who enjoyed the activities on offer for free. These included a family bike ride, a Breeze women only ride, a trial bike display, a slow bike ride, cycle coding and a spinning demonstration.
