Pocklington’s All Saints’ Church bells have been silent since 10 March when the Pocklington Bellringers began removing the clappers, sliders and pulleys prior to taking them to Oxfordshire for refurbishment.

The components were returned to Pocklington by Whites of Appleton last Thursday having been refurbished in their Oxfordshire workshop.

During the intervening weeks, a local company of painters and decorators have painted the bell frame prior to the professional bellhanger, assisted by the bellringers, replacing the components.
