Fundraising youngsters and supermarket staff worked up a sweat for Sport Relief.

Children at Pocklington Community Junior School dressed up as their favourite sports hero and took part in a boot camp. The school raised £220 for Sport Relief.

Pocklington Infant School pupils dressed in sportswear and jogged a mile around the school playground. A skipping workshop was held and the school’s dance group performed. £200 was raised by the school.

Market Weighton Pre-School received a visit from fitness instructor Sarah Roberts and children and parents had a go at a variety of fun exercises. The event raised more than £20.

Funds were also raised by Sainsbury’s in Pocklington, who took part in a press up challenge and indoor cycling. In addition, the store’s staff choir sang to get more donations from shoppers.

See this Thursday’s (27 March) Pocklington Post for more Sport Relief pictures.
