The Post Office at Wilberfoss will receive a modern, open-plan makeover as extended opening hours come into operation at the branch.
The facility will be open on Sundays and will service customers for a total of 101 hours each week.
The changes at the Post Office on Main Street are part of a major modernisation programme across the Post Office network designed to make it easier for customers to conduct their business.
It will close for refurbishment at 17:30pm on Wednesday 12 February and the new-look Post Office local will open at 9am on Monday 17 February.
Post Office Area Manager Simon Drinkwater said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Wilberfoss and we are confident that this new modern branch will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
Post Office local is a new concept for delivering Post Office services from an open- plan counter with products and services available alongside retail transactions.
