A £250,000 refurbishment of Pocklington’s Oak House took a step forward this week after the town council revealed that its plans for the work are ready to be submitted.

They will include details of the building’s new front entrance and downstairs meeting rooms and how the first floor will be linked with the auditorium at the back.

The refurbishment has been on the cards for some time but with East Riding Council set to receive the plans within two weeks, the project is making progress.
