A couple from Market Weighton say they could have died when youths threw a tricycle off a bridge which hit the front of their car while they were travelling at 70mph.

Nicola and Richard Preston, both 28, of Finkle Court, were heading to Hull along the A63 near Hessle at about 3.30pm last Sunday when a metal trike was thrown off a bridge, colliding into the front bumper of their Audi A6.

Mrs Preston says her husband, who was driving, managed to stay calm and not swerve when the incident happened or the outcome could have been much worse.
