Not so long ago Mel and I went to see that awesome musical Evita when it went on tour around Yorkshire. It’s always been the best musical ever for us and to make the evening even more special we managed to book some of the best seats in the house – about half way back in the stalls – perfect.

Of course ‘getting the best seats’ can be really important and I’ve just returned from the annual Methodist Conference in Birmingham.

The Methodist Church doesn’t have an Archbishop, but rather a President who serves the church in a
special way for just twelve months.

Presidents go around the world and represent British Methodism and so as you can imagine it’s a very much sought-after role.
