Suspected broken jaw - police appeal for witnesses
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Beverley.
The incident happened near The Ranch in Wednesday Market just after midnight on Sunday August 26.
A 26-year-old man wa
s sitting alone on a bench outside The Ranch when he noticed an unknown male inside the licensed premises.
As the man left the premises the two of them became engaged in a verbal altercation which resulted in the 26-year-old man being assaulted.
Following the assault, the offender walked away and was followed by the 26-year-old man, who tried to establish why he had been assaulted. It is then alleged that the man assaulted him again before running away.
The victim suffered a suspected broken jaw in the incident.
The offender is described as a white male, 6ft tall and of a medium build with ginger hair.
