Talented dancers from a community dance school in Shiptonthorpe tread the boards at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End.

Starbrite Studios students were invited to attend and perform in the Bobby Dazzlers event at the theatre.

The students travelled down to London for a weekend with their families and friends.

The youngsters have held a number of fundraising events this year to fund the trip.

The 22 students got changed in the real Phantom of the Opera’s dressing rooms, used the stage door, performed three dances on the stage and enjoyed the whole West End Experience.

Emma Bailey Hague, Starbrite Studios creative director and principal, said: “I am so proud of all the students. They behaved like true professionals from the moment they entered their dressing rooms to the moment they left via the stage door. I have a lot of talented students within Starbrite and I know that some of them will make it to be on the West End Stage in a lead role.”

Rachael Anderson, a student at Starbrite, said: “I enjoyed that so much, I could do it all again.”
