A soldier’s Military Medal, awarded for gallantry in Middle East anti-terrorist operations in 1967, is among the most valuable ever to go under the hammer of specialist auctioneers Chris Clubley & Co.

Ronnie Bradley, of Stamford Bridge, survived countless grenade attacks as, time and again, he offered himself as a target in dangerous operations to ambush terrorists.

It was bravery the Queen knew every detail of when she presented him with the Military Medal in March 1968. Full story in next week’s new-style Pocklington Post (30 January).
