A CHOIR of ex-servicemen have banded together to produce a CD and raise money for injured Yorkshire soldiers.
The Yorkshire Warriors choir of ex-servicemen from the Yorkshire Regiment, began rehearsing together around 16 weeks ago at Leconfield. They recorded their CD of songs and poetry called Shoulder to Shoulder Never Forget in September, and expect to release it within the next three weeks.
Bob Tyler, who served in the regiment for 24 years, said: “We are all tone deaf and flat but we have improvised, adapted and overcome. It is great because it is raising the profile of the charity.”
The choir have already raised £3,000 for the Regimental Benevolent Fund through performances around Yorkshire, and hope to raise even more for the charity, which helps injured Yorkshire soldiers and their families.
