It is not too late for residents to enter next week’s 66th annual Pocklington Chrysanthemum Show.
The event, on Saturday 2 November, which will feature an exhibition of chrysanthemums, house plants, fruit and vegetables, cookery, wines, handicrafts, floral art, photography and childrens exhibits.
Organised by Pocklington Chrysanthemum Society, the show will be held at Pocklington’s Burnby Hall.
Sheila Smith, a member of the society, said: “There seems to be quite a bit of interest so hopefully it will be a good show.”
Schedules for the event are available from The Pocklington Cobbler, on George Street, Pocklington Arts Centre and the Post Office. You can also obtain a schedule and more information from Sheila on 01759 304036.
Residents who wish to enter exhibits need to fill in an entry form before the show. Forms are inside the schedules.
Exhibits need to be entered by 10.30am and staged by 10.45am on the day. Judging will start at 11am. The show will open to the public at 1.30pm. The society cups will be presented at 5pm.
