Serious collision near Stamford Bridge
A DRIVER has sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision near Stamford Bridge.
The incident happened at 8.55am today (30 August) on the A166, which had to be closed until 2.05pm.
It is believed to have happened when a black Saab left the road, coming to a halt in a nearby ditch at the bottom of Garrowby Hill.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Hull Royal Infirmary with injuries that are not life threatening.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting log number 102 of 30 August 2012.
