Sculpture is found in car park

A SCULPTURE which went missing from the WI garden outside Burnby Hall Gardens has been found.

The sculpture of two boxing hares was discovered in the Burnby Hall car park last Friday, the day after the Pocklington Post ran an article about its disappearance.

Barbara Ball, president of Pocklington WI, said: “Thank you to whoever returned them. The WI members will now decide the bets place to locate this lovely sculpture.”

The specially commissioned sculpture was designed by artist Susan Nichols, of Fridaythorpe, and was installed to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
