A Pocklington primary school has teamed up with supermarket chain Sainsbury’s as part of an initiative that aims to inspire young people to get active, be healthier and have fun.

Newlands School Yorkshire has launched the Sainsbury’s 2014 Active Kids promotion and is encouraging staff and parents to collect vouchers from Sainsbury’s stores that the school can exchange for activity and cooking equipment, plus coaching and experiences for kids.

Helen Steele, spokesperson for Newlands School Yorkshire, said: “This has been a great initiative which our school has benefited from.

“We encourage staff, parents and friends to collect as many vouchers as they can.”

One Active Kids voucher is earned for every £10 spent in a single transaction at all Sainsbury’s supermarkets and for each £5 spent in a single transaction at Sainsbury’s local shops.

The vouchers will be printed at the same time as your receipt.
