Runner begins Pocktoberfest fundraising

THE fundraising drive from this year’s Pocktoberfest is up and running thanks to some serious legwork from one of their many volunteers.

Organiser, Simon Weedy, completed the Great North Run half marathon earlier this month in aid of Help for Heroes, Pocktoberfest’s 2012 chosen charity.

Simon managed to raise £160, which will go towards the Phoenix Recovery Centre, a residential rehabilitation centre near Catterick, which will cater for injured service personnel.
