Road works planned at Beck Bridge

East Riding Council is undertaking investigation works at Beverley Beck Bridge on the A1174, which will help to develop future maintenance work schemes.

The investigations will involve the excavation of trial holes within both footways on the bridge and verges on each side.

This work started yesterday (Thursday September 6) and is expected to take about a week to complete.

To provide a safe working area, traffic is restricted to a single lane over the bridge, controlled by temporary signals. In order to minimise disruption, the investigations will take place outside peak hours, from 9.30 am to 3.30pm. Pedestrian access over the bridge will be maintained at all times.
