Ramblers mark their 10th anniversary

Last Thursday marked a special anniversary for a group of local walking enthusiasts as Pocklington Rambling Club celebrated its 10th birthday.

To celebrate last week’s landmark, the group took part in a five-mile walk from Goodmanham followed by a lunch at the Goodmanham Arms.

Since its formation in 2003, through the efforts of local walkers Monica Isles and Ray Willis, the group has steadily grown to the point today where it maintains a membership of 200 who regularly take walks around the area.
