The Sky Sports cameras have been in action in and around Pocklington in the past couple of weeks to film the story of Pocklington’s oldest rugby family.

Six generations of Tinsons have played rugby for Pocklington, starting out with William Tinson who captained the town’s first rugby team in the 1880s.

Sky Sports were sufficiently impressed with the story to want to feature it on their midweek ‘Rugby Club’ programme and they spent a weekend filming match action and conducting interviews at Percy Road.

Read Phil’s full story in next Thursday’s (20 March) Pocklington Post.
