World War One memorial on Market Street

A ceremony will take place in Pocklington to re-dedicate the World War One memorial on Market Street.

The Mayor of Pocklington, councillor Paul West, the town council, the Pocklington branch of the Royal British Legion and churches in the town will hold the short ceremony, starting at 2pm on Sunday.

Following the re-dedication of the memorial near the Post Office, there will be a similar ceremony at the original World War One plaque in All Saints’ Church.
