Pupils at Pocklington Junior School helped spread the festive cheer to some less fortunate youngsters by sending gifts to children being treated at Hull Royal Infirmary.
More than 50 parcels containing new books, toys and jigsaws suitable for ages 0-16, were sent to four wards at the hospital, to A&E and to Child Protection Services.
The school has previously donated gifts to the hospital and teachers were very happy at the response this year.
Sue Yeates, PA to the headteacher, said: “We are very grateful to the parents for getting involved in this project, as is everyone at Hull Royal Infirmary. It’s a lovely gesture.”
