More than 200 residents in Elvington have signed a petition against proposals in the City of York Council’s Local Plan.

The petition was launched by a new action group formed by residents in the village who are worried about the potential over-development of Elvington.

The action group and Elvington Parish Council recently held a special ‘drop-in’ event at Elvington Village Hall where they provided information about City of York Council’s plans so residents can make informed decisions about their concerns.

Full story in next week’s (3 July) Pocklington Post.
