Plans for a multi-million pound housing development in Pocklington have received the backing of the town council.

At a Pocklington Town Council planning meeting on Wednesday 29 January, members decided to support the planning application by Linden Homes and J G Hatcliffe and Partners to build 222 new houses on land west of the Balk over a five year period. The scheme is expected to cost in excess of £35million.
