MP Greg Knight talks about support for high street businesses

EAST Yorkshire MP Greg Knight has spoke about the Government’s efforts to help high street shops during these difficult economic times.

Pocklington shopkeepers and market traders recently praised local residents for their support in what has been a challenging summer for them, with the adverse weather adding to the problems they face.

Mr Knight told the Pocklington Post that with technology revolutionising shopping patterns and with some shopping practices likely to have changed forever, the Portas Review was launched last year to look at what can be done to help high street businesses like those in Pocklington town centre.
