Mel’s Kenyan cycle mission

A WOMAN from Hayton who completed a 100-mile bike ride earlier this month is delighted to have raised over £400 to help buy sports equipment for school children in Kenya.

Mel Bailey, who serves in the military, working in a Northallerton hospital, decided to buy skipping ropes and footballs for schools in Kenya after visiting the country last year to administer medical aid.
