A scientist from Market Weighton has presented his research to politicians and a panel of expert judges this week.

Matthew Grayson, 24, a Ph.D. student at The University of Cambridge, received the opportunity to attend the Houses of Parliament last Monday as part of the ‘SET for Britain’ poster competition, after being shortlisted from hundreds of applicants.

Matthew’s poster on research into understanding and developing methods of making key building blocks useful in biotechnology was judged against dozens of other scientists’ research in the only national competition of its kind.
