Charity car wash in Shiptonthorpe

FIREFIGHTERS from Market Weighton Fire Station held a charity car wash in Shiptonthorpe recently.

A team of eight from the station took part in the event at Langlands Garden Centre’s car park and made nearly £450 for The Firefighters Charity.

They raised the funds in just four hours.

Motorists were asked to make donations in exchange for their vehicles washing.

The Firefighters Charity is the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families.
