Eve with Phelipa Andrews and James Goddard

On June 17, four local ladies will be walking 26 miles and up the three highest peaks in Yorkshire in aid of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Make-a-Wish is a fantastic charity that grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, giving them and their families a hugely positive experience during really difficult time.

Eve Naylor, now 10 years old and from Langtoft was the first child to swim in the Olympic pool whilst she was recovering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Eve and her brother George were helped and encouraged by Olympians Steve Parry, Adam Whitehead, James Goddard, Aaron Maddox and Phelipe Andrews.

Now Eve’s mum and 3 of her friends, Selina Moon, Jo Richardson and Ruth Burdass are raising money so that other children can benefit from Make-a-Wish too.

If you can spare a pound or two to give these relatively unfit mums a boost to get them around the challange then you can log onto their just giving page
