Jobs fair for the for the ‘workforce of the future’

Beverley MP Graham Stuart has teamed up with Jobcentre Plus to hold a jobs fair in Beverley today (Friday September 7).

The event will be held at Beverley Memorial Hall, from 10am to 2pm.

Mr Stuart said: “Anyone looking for a job, or a better idea of the options they have to improve their skills, is invited to attend.

“The Beverley Jobs Fair is a great way of helping match employers with people who want work and I hope many local job seekers will attend.

“If you are looking for work, either part-time or full-time, then come along and find out more about how to get the job that is right for you.

“There are some great prospects for those in Beverley and Holderness, which is currently rating better than the national average in terms of unemployment.

“Many new opportunities are on the horizon, particularly in the field of renewable energy, and now is the time to step up and engage in the employment market to become part of the workforce of the future.”

Mandy Oliver, of Jobcentre Plus, said; “Jobseekers are welcome to attend at any time during the session to talk to employers and training providers. Jobseekers will also have an opportunity to chat with an employment advisor.”
