Brave...Nine-year-old Oscar Hughes at Leeds General Infirmary

The Pocklington Post is giving its backing to a campaign to raise £150,000 for a brave youngster who has suffered a sudden relapse in his recovery from a brain tumour.

Oscar Hughes, nine, from Dunnington, has had an MRI scan which has shown that he has cancer cells all over his brain and spine, and there is currently no known cure for the condition.

Now family and friends are appealing to raise £150,000 to possibly send Oscar to America to take part in promising research and clinical trials.
