MARKET Weighton Community Hall is set for a major refurbishment following a £8,900 grant from WREN, an organisation that helps community, environmental and heritage projects across the UK.

The grant will enable the hall, which is used by playgroups, dance groups and many more, to begin work on a new kitchen and refurbishment of its 20-year-old toilet facilities.

A registered charity, the hall opened in 1992 and is open seven days a week, often hosting musical events and functions.
