Musical concert group Good Company performed a concert of early music at Nunburnholme’s charming St James Church.
On a lovely summer evening the churchyard was a picture and the church was full to hear music by Tallis and other early composers as well as some more recent works. Interspersed were poetry readings by Nigel Forde.
Solos were performed by Dan Holding on baroque flute, Judith Micklem on the cello and Helen Drewery on the piano.
More than £200 was raised for St James church, and there were refreshments afterwards.
Good Company is led by Michael Cooper.
