Residents can have their blood pressure measured in Pocklington on Saturday 5 April.
Pocklington and Market Weighton Rotary Club members will be prominent on Market Street directing members of the public wishing to have a blood pressure check to Pocklington Arts Centre where volunteers from Pocklington Medical Practice will take and record their blood pressure and make recommendations if high readings are obtained.
The checks are taking place as part of the Stroke Association’s ‘Know Your Blood Pressure’ campaign.
The Association recommends all adults should have their blood pressure checked regularly. Rotary clubs across the country have been long-term supporters of the Association.
