Generous donation to help local church
A Huggate Artist is helping to raise money for St Mary’s Church by donating one of his paintings to the village’s Christmas draw.
Simon Wallace, who has a studio called Huggate, has donated his picture called ‘Huggate- Late Summer’, which has been on display at the Art & Rose Gallery in Pocklington and the Blake Gallery in York, in the hope of making as much money as possible for the 14th century building.
The painting is one of a number of attractive prizes on offer at the draw which will take place at the Wolds Inn Pub on 12 December.
