The Barmby Moor group of parishes has been given the use of picturesque Allerthorpe Lakeland Park on Sunday to raise money for the five parish churches.

Entrance will be free for the whole fun day, which will take place from 10am to 4pm. As well as the usual stalls and games, there will be opportunities to try, at no charge, a variety of water sports and activities, which will be supervised by the staff at the park, who will also be happy to offer home-made food throughout the day.

The Companion Dog Show is part of this event, with registration beginning at 9.30am.

For budding pirates and princess, there is a fancy dress competition beginning at 1.30pm, followed by the announcement of the winner of a photographic competition.

One of the event’s organisers, Chris Gardham, is thankful that the group is being allowed to use Allerthorpe Lakeland Park.

He said: “The group is extremely grateful for this very generous offer.

“This event has something for all the family, so do come and join the fun and games.”
