Well-known conductor Michael Wiles will be conducting his final concert as Music Director of the Stamford Bridge Singers on Saturday.
Michael, who founded the Singers 25 years ago, will be leading a concert of popular, moving and fun pieces, at 7.30pm in Welburn Church.
The concert is entitled ‘Rhythm of Life’ and will also feature solos given by young musicians, all of whom have been members of the Stamford Bridge Singers over the years, and accompaniments by York Minster Organ Scholar, Nick Haigh.
To round the evening off in fine style, the ladies of the church will serve strawberries, homemade shortbread and a glass of wine or soft drink.
