Fire service has so far dealt with 30 flood related calls across Humberside region

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service received over 30 calls yesterday (25 November) relating to localised flooding incidents across the Service area due to the heavy rain.

There are a number of dangerous roads across the region that have become hazardous, making driving dangerous. Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to plan ahead, to drive to the conditions and to avoid making

With further rain expected today (26 November) Humberside Fire and Rescue Service ask residents to only call about flooding if there is a risk of flooding to their property or it is a real emergency.

Environment Agency River Hull Upper Catchment Current status:

Flood Alert currently active for:

Upper Hull Area including Kilham, Nafferton, Driffield, Bainton, North Dalton, Leconfield, Leven, Brandesburton, North Frodingham and Beeford.

This Flood Alert has been issued in response to recent heavy rainfall causing river levels to rise in the River Hull Upper Catchment. The current level of Frodingham Beck at Frodingham Bridge is steady at 1.26 metres.

Further rainfall is expected throughout today and the possibility of surface water issues remains across the area. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
