The interesting artefacts were collected by Major Percy Marlborough Stewart during his extensive travels around the world between 1906-1926.

This week’s artefact was collected by Major Stewart on his first visit to New Zealand in 1906, and is a Maori feather cloak called a ‘kahu kiwi’.

Full story in next Thursday’s paper (23 January).
