Young people in the area have benefitted from donations from Pocklington and Market Weighton Round Table.

The organisation has given £250 to Pocklington Girlguides and Rangers to help them with Duke of Edinburgh Award challenges, for which they are hoping to buy new equipment.

Greg Frith, chairman of the Round Table, said: “Once again Pocklington and Market Weighton Round Table are delighted to be helping the local community and wish the Pocklington Girlguides all the best with their Duke of Edinburgh challenges.”

In addition, the organisation gave £250 to a team of eight students from Woldgate College to help them with a two-week trip to Borneo.

The Round Table aims to connect, socialise, help the local community and charities.
