Staff at Market Weighton Surgery have paid tribute to a long-serving doctor at the practice who is retiring this month.
Dr Richard Webster, who has been an integral part of the practice, has decided to call it a day after 33 years service.
Assistant practice manager, Tracy Robinson, said: “Throughout that time there have, of course, been many changes in the health service but Dr Webster has been a constant presence, showing great organisational skills in helping the practice embrace this change, as well as being a caring and compassionate doctor providing a very high standard of personal care to his patients.
“His abilities will be greatly missed but all the partners and staff wish him a long and happy retirement.”
An event will be held to give patients the opportunity to say goodbye to Dr Webster at the new practice on 31 July between 3pm and 5pm.
