Councillor to step down

THE new Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Paul Robinson has announced he will resign his East Riding Council seat.

Pressure has been mounting on the Howdenshire councillor to step down from his role in the council, with Wolds Weighton ward councillor David Rudd among those claiming that he will not be able to fulfil his local authority role after being appointed Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner.
